Description

316Ti steel (UNS S31635) is a titanium-stabilised version of 316 stainless steel with a similar composition to 316L. However, it has a small amount of titanium added to prevent chromium carbide precipitation. This process occurs during welding or high temperature exposure. It greatly improves intergranular corrosion resistance. As a result, it retains its properties better.
